“I’ve been a Horner User for almost 10 years now.  I was first introduced to the Horner OCS system by two people. Jeff Peltier my local sales rep from Power/Mation had been trying to get me to convert for a while, and a colleague at who had experience with Horner PLC’s coming out of Mitchell Technical College.  While initially hesitant to change from my previous PLC’s, I gave in.  With zero experience using Horner, I was able to quickly build and commission about a dozen relatively simple automated poke-yoke fixtures for manual welding processes.

I’ve since continued to use Horner throughout my career.  This eventually turned into numerous robotic integrations, dozens of automated conveyor systems for electronic assembly, test fixtures for heavy equipment electrical subassemblies, and I’m currently using them for automated test fixtures for the lifecycle testing of heavy equipment utilizing both the J1939 and CANopen protocols.

My favorite part about Horner OCS is the flexibility of the communication, it has never pigeon holed me with a project.  I have always been able to find a solution, whether it be the PLC itself, or the ability to interface with a 3rd party device to solve the problem.”
