Job Summary & Responsibilities

In a team environment, this position is responsible for setting up and operating surface mount technology (SMT) equipment to cost-effectively produce high-quality electronic products effectively and efficiently to meet customer requirements.

  • Set up, operate, and monitor multiple pieces of surface mount equipment to produce high-quality products.
  • Perform general inspection and SPC monitoring of product, assembly equipment, and processes to ensure quality product assembly.
  • Utilize technical knowledge and problem-solving skills to address basic process and equipment problems.
  • Efficiently perform repair procedures for the production floor, including soldering and de-soldering.
  • Perform other job duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of electronic components (IPC 610) related to electronics assembly, specifically SMT. Inspection experience.
  • Ability to interpret assembly drawings (blueprints), BOMs, equipment set-up sheets, and MAPS.
  • Knowledge of electronic components (IPC 610) related to electronics assembly, specifically SMT. Inspection experience.
  • Basic math skills to include negative numbers conversion factors (English to Metric) and coordinate measuring methodology.
  • Ability to properly adjust and use a microscope, and measuring equipment (calipers, rulers).
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
